Can a Raleigh private school student take free Wake Tech classes?

Yes. Career & College Promise is tuition-free, and students at a private school or a registered home school may participate if they meet the eligibility standards. Wake Tech describes more than 40 academic programs available through CCP.

Durham and Orange students usually work with Durham Tech, and Johnston students with Johnston Community College. Ask about fees and books, which the tuition waiver may not cover.

Will dual enrollment credits count toward a private school diploma?

That depends on the school. Many courses earn college credit and high school credit together, but your private school decides what counts toward its own diploma, so talk to its counselor before registering.
